Reusable Cutlery: you don't have to buy it brand new

Updated: Sep 13, 2019

The most important thing here is that you are reducing your waste. Whether that means you reuse plastic utensils, grab some extra silverware from your kitchen, or you get a light weight set that you always take with you, it doesn't truly matter what kind they are.

I got this set to share with my sister-in-law. We were both new to sustainable living about a year ago, so I bought this set, gave her half for her birthday, and kept the other half for us. You can always find our set in my purse for daily use or in my carry-on when we are traveling.

Don't make the same mistake that I did and think that in order to be a part of the zero waste movement that you need a cute bamboo set. While they do have their perks, it is more sustainable to just use a set you already have even if they are just silverware from your kitchen. .

As always, what is most important to keep in mind is how you are bettering the Earth. You don't have to be aesthetically pleasing to reduce your waste.
